A concept for a personal wearable device that cleans the air as you walk
The device continuously purifies the air in the immediate environment of the person who wears it, and is powered by body movement (which generates energy).
Participants who took part in an experience prototype, a simulated device usage experiment, expressed true excitement about using such a device in real life.

Future Scenarios
We conducted a study of the future of mega-cities and the rise of pollution. Together with advances in mobile technology, this will lay the foundation for our personal air-cleaning device.
The Airplant Concept
A miniature air-cleaner attached to both chest and legs that uses natural biological enzymes and energy generated by the user's leg movement, along with piezoelectric shoe inserts.
Experience Prototype
We created a simulation with placebo air-cleaning devices and a performance-measuring device that provided air-cleaning feedback to the users. Participants experienced the device usage in everyday circumstances and provided their enthusiastic feedback on the experience.
