Product management and design for a rule based rapid application development environment
Logist is a decision-making platform. It enables business users to code company knowledge (policies and procedures) in the form of rules. Rules are then processed by an artificial intelligence agent and applied as part of the enterprise legacy software.
I initiated this project and wrote detailed requirements for a re-design of the fully featured development environment. I worked in conjunction with a UI contractor. The product received positive reviews from leading field experts.
Requirements, UI, UX, Product Management
Product Management
I conducted an extensive market study, which included researching competitors and potential collaborators. I connected with field experts and gurus and collected user demands to create a requirement document. I worked closely with a UI contractor and the development team. I was also responsible for design quality assurance.
Conceptual design
I designed the conceptual development methodology in collaboration with the head of R&D. This included defining a new development unit with inheritance and flow capabilities to leverage multi user concurrent development and re-use of code throughout different projects.
Detailed Tools Design
I designed tools for Rule Editor to facilitate the writing of rules by novice users. Users can add new statements to the rule 'by example' or 'by template'. This innovation was unique to the industry.
I designed drop down syntax editors as part of the Rule Editor in alignment with tools from standard development environments.
