A concept for trendy RFID bracelets you swap with others as a way to keep in touch
Users collect and exchange Swaplets with new friends they meet at festivals, parks, and concerts. Each swap automatically adds the new friend to a user's social network.
Swaplets are an alternative to traditional business cards originally designed for a waterpark-type environment, where cell phones or pen and paper may not be available.

Mood Board
Swaplets were a part of a workshop for Aquafan, a water park in Riccione, on the east coast of Italy. We collected images of beach culture, body decorations and bracelets as input for the design of the physical object.
How it Works
At the door users each receive twenty RFID Swaplets with their personal ID. Leaving the premise or event, the individual's collection of Swaplets is scanned by an RFID reader at the gate and relationship links are created.
Photo scenario
A photo scenario illustrated the concept and the experience to the client.
