Thanks

I would like to deeply thank my thesis advisors, Heather Martin and Yaniv Steiner and all the people who contributed, participated and helped me shape this thing.

Overview | Pilot | Pattern Codes | Process

Each person, owns and wears his own unique personal pattern. An analyzed photograph of a piece of this pattern links to its owner.

Pattern generation An Urbanseeder pattern is assigned per each joining member. This pattern is unique and applied to all clothes and seeds its owner orders through the service. It is a personal branding layer that each person adds to his wardrobe.

Pattern recognition The pattern looks just like any other pattern to an outsider, and is recognizable only to a fellow Urbanseeder. An exposure of this pattern, is a form of advertising an access code to your Urbanseeder site, amongst the Urbanseeder community.

Peronslized Branding The concept of personalized manufacturing is supported by the existence of relatively new technologies such as ink-jet textile printing: low setup cost per pattern cycle with a high print quality. In the context of the service, the patterns link to a member's page. In the boarder sense, the patterns add a new identity layer of identity to our clothes and accessories, a layer of personal branding. This also enables the embedding new services.

Fashion Branding? I played around with the idea that some fashion brands would add an 'Urbanseeder Inside' line. A line of personalized clothing, using their own visual version of the Urbanseeder identifiable pattern. A partnership with fashion houses opens a new channel of distribution, as well as existing 'fashion communities'.

I am still undecided whether this is a good idea, or that Urbanseeder should remain a brand-less platform, supporting only personal branding.
